About Renaissance
Ancillary benefits — including dental, vision, life, disability and supplemental health — give employees coverage that works alongside their primary medical plan or on its own, helping them reduce high out-of-pocket costs and support overall well-being. For employers, a robust ancillary package is one of the most cost-effective ways to boost satisfaction and reduce turnover: according to a Gallagher Wellbeing and Voluntary Benefits Survey, roughly 63% of employees say they would change jobs for better benefits and 75% say benefits through their employer provide better value than buying similar services on their own. Renaissance makes it easy to offer these lines of coverage through a single carrier, with one administrative platform and clear points of contact for each group’s unique needs throughout the process.
A strong voluntary benefits package typically includes dental, vision, life, disability and supplemental health insurance. These benefits can be offered on an employer-paid or employee-paid basis, or a combination of both, making them a flexible and affordable way to enrich your total compensation package. Renaissance offers all of these options under one roof, so employees can customize their ancillary benefits without HR teams having to manage multiple carriers.
Yes — and increasingly, they’re expected. Prospective employees look for benefits packages that go beyond basic health coverage. Dental, vision and supplemental health benefits signal that an employer is invested in their team’s long-term well-being, not just their base salary. Renaissance’s group ancillary plans are designed to be competitive and easy to communicate, so your benefits package stands out during recruiting and open enrollment alike.
Not only does Renaissance offer a full suite of ancillary benefits (dental, vision, life, disability, supplemental health, PFML and accident) that’s built to pay out, it also puts modern infrastructure, human-in-the-loop technology and accountable service teams at the forefront to ensure a seamless experience for employers and their teams alike. Working with Renaissance means streamlined implementation and an intuitive administrative portal (RenBenefitsAdmin) your HR team can use with ease at any time. RenConnect automates eligibility and data exchange with your existing systems, and our dedicated support teams are readily available at every step along the way. The result is a benefits experience that’s easy to manage for HR teams and easy to understand for employees who are enrolled.
For those less familiar with the Renaissance name, the foundation behind it is worth knowing: Renaissance holds an “A” (Excellent) financial strength rating from AM Best and is backed by 60+ years of claims experience within the Renaissance Health Service Corporation.
Yes. Access to dental and vision coverage encourages employees to seek preventive care — routine cleanings, eye exams and screenings — that can catch health issues before they become serious. Employees with regular access to preventive care typically take fewer sick days and report higher workplace engagement. Supplemental health coverage through RenSecureHealth adds another layer of financial protection, helping employees manage out-of-pocket costs when a covered health event occurs.
Renaissance offers multiple support channels for group plan members: phone, email and self-service through MyRenBenefitsManager, where employees can check benefits, view claims and find answers without needing to call. For HR teams, RenBenefitsAdmin provides a central hub for managing eligibility, billing and plan details. When something more complex comes up, Renaissance’s dedicated group support team is available at 800-894-4532 (Mon. – Fri. – 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. ET) to help resolve it quickly.

For HR teams, the RenBenefitsAdmin Guide walks through platform features step by step. We’re committed to making sure your employees have the knowledge they need to use their dental, vision, life, disability and supplemental health coverage with confidence.
Implementation & Transitions
Most groups are up and running within 5 – 10 business days. Renaissance assigns a dedicated implementation team to guide you through eligibility setup, portal access and data exchange. Your broker stays in the loop throughout, and we provide clear timelines and checkpoints so there are no surprises along the way.
Switching carriers doesn’t have to mean disruption. Renaissance coordinates directly with your broker to manage the transition, including eligibility data migration, ID card distribution and employee communication support. For dental, members who switch to Renaissance also receive an Orthodontic Reset Benefit, giving them a fresh start on their orthodontic maximum.
Your broker will walk you through the specifics, but generally you’ll need current employee eligibility data, plan selections and any existing carrier termination dates. Renaissance’s implementation team handles the technical setup — including RenConnect integration if your organization uses a data exchange — so you and your team aren’t left managing the heavy lifting alone.
Yes. RenConnect is Renaissance’s data exchange layer, designed to connect with the platforms and file formats your organization already uses. It supports eligibility, enrollment and billing data exchange across dental, vision, life, disability, supplemental health and accident products, helping reduce manual entry and back-and-forth during setup and ongoing administration.
Administration & Workload
Renaissance consolidates dental, vision, life, disability and supplemental health into a single group plan administered through one portal, RenBenefitsAdmin. Instead of logging into multiple carrier systems to manage eligibility, billing and ID cards, your HR team handles everything in one place. RenConnect further reduces manual work by automating data exchange between Renaissance and your existing systems.
RenBenefitsAdmin is your central hub for group benefits administration. From there, you can update eligibility information, print ID cards, view claims, customize reports and manage plan details — all without needing to call in for routine updates. (Dedicated phone support is also readily available if needed or preferred.)
Eligibility updates can be made directly through RenBenefitsAdmin or submitted via RenConnect if your organization uses automated data exchange. Renaissance’s system is designed to process changes quickly and keep data consistent across all benefit lines, so a new hire added to dental is reflected across vision, life and supplemental health without requiring separate updates in multiple places.
Employees with questions about the group plan can reach Renaissance’s dedicated group support line directly. For self-service, MyRenBenefitsManager lets members check their benefits, view claims and find answers on their own time, which keeps routine questions from landing on your desk.
Renewals & Predictability
Renaissance provides clear renewal guidance from dedicated support teams well in advance of your renewal date. You’ll receive plan performance information, any rate adjustments and next steps, without having to chase down answers. The goal is a low-noise renewal process where your team knows what to expect and has time to make informed decisions.
Renewal rates can vary based on a combination of factors specific to your group, including experience trends and plan design. By keeping claims, billing and eligibility data aligned throughout the year, our infrastructure helps provide a clear, consistent view of that experience at renewal. Your broker can provide the most tailored perspective on how those factors may translate into your renewal discussions.
Yes. Because all Renaissance ancillary products are offered under one carrier, adding a new line of coverage — like supplemental health through RenSecureHealth — at renewal is straightforward. Your HR team works with the same carrier and the same point of contact throughout, so there’s no need to onboard a new vendor or learn a separate system to expand your benefits package.
Employee Communication & Experience
Renaissance provides a variety of guides, FAQs and member-facing materials designed to make coverage easy to understand — not just for employers/HR teams to explain, but for the employees who actually use the benefits, as well. The goal is for members to have a clear picture of what they’re covered for, how to use their benefits and where to go when they have questions, without needing to call HR first.
RenSecureHealth — Renaissance’s supplemental health coverage — is built to be easy to understand and use from day one. Once registered and set up in the RenSecureHealth app, members can file claims easily, typically receiving payment within about 72 hours of approval. Coverage is tied directly to 13,000+ diagnosed conditions, so the connection between a covered event and a payout is clear.
RenSecureHealth is supplemental coverage that’s designed to work alongside employees’ primary medical plan (or on its own), rather than instead of it. When a covered event happens, a person’s medical plan may cover the care; and RenSecureHealth pays direct cash benefits for covered events that employees can use toward deductibles, copays or other out-of-pocket costs.
Yes. Renaissance provides plan documents and benefit summaries that outline coverage details, exclusions and how to use benefits. Members can also access their coverage information through MyRenBenefitsManager at any time.
Group plan members can reach Renaissance’s dedicated support directly during scheduled business hours or check claim status through MyRenBenefitsManager at any time. For RenSecureHealth supplemental health claims, members can use the app to file and track their claims. Payment typically arrives within approximately 72 hours of approval. While there are named contacts all of our groups and individuals receive to access support, there are also general contact numbers to call if needed as well.
