Questions About Dental Insurance

Is dental insurance worth it if I have good oral health?2025-03-10T06:05:30-04:00

Yes, dental insurance can be beneficial, even if you have good oral health. Regular check-ups, cleanings, and preventive care are important to maintaining oral health and those services are typically covered by dental insurance. Regular visits to the dentist help catch potential issues early and can prevent costly treatments in the future. Dental insurance helps provide financial protection against unexpected dental problems or emergencies that could arise. Additionally, dental exams can also detect more than 120 signs and symptoms of other non-dental disease that may indicate health issues elsewhere in your body.*

Why should I consider individual or family dental insurance?2025-03-10T06:05:17-04:00

Individual or family dental insurance from Renaissance helps you and your loved ones access essential dental care without the burden of high out-of-pocket costs. Regular dental check-ups and treatments are crucial for maintaining overall health, and having insurance helps cover expenses for routine cleanings, exams, fillings and more. By investing in a dental insurance plan, you can prevent minor issues from becoming major problems and keep your family’s smiles healthy and bright. Renaissance Benefits offers flexible plans tailored to meet the specific needs of individuals and families, providing peace of mind and financial protection.

How does dental insurance work?2025-03-10T06:04:52-04:00

Dental insurance works by covering a portion of your dental care costs, helping you manage and reduce out-of-pocket expenses. When you purchase a dental insurance plan, you pay premiums, oftentimes on a monthly basis. In return, the insurance covers diagnostic and preventive services like cleanings and exams, as well as a percentage of costs for procedures like fillings, crowns and root canals. Most plans have a network of preferred providers, allowing you to choose from a list of dentists who offer services at negotiated rates that are typically lower than rates you would pay without insurance. By using Renaissance dental insurance, you can maintain good oral health without the financial stress, helping to ensure you receive the care you need when you need it.
